Evidence 1: Kidspiration

This tool is called kidspiration; this can be used to create different types of concept maps. This can be done by the kids for certain topics or concepts or I can create them myself. Students can start with a blank screen and add information that can help them with their learning. This can be beneficial for kids who are brainstorming a project or writing a paper it allows them to organize their information and make connections. Since they start with a blank page they can create this map in anyway that they imagine and can use this tool to collect and organize their thoughts as well as use it to teach other students. Students can add pictures, text, or symbols to articulate their thoughts.

Evidence 3: Instructional Video

This PBL was created to challenge students to question what art is, and what it means to them. This question was designed to get students to think about art in a more personal way. It is an activity that can allow students to express and then reflect on their personal view of the value of art. In an indirect way it can expose them to art therapy and how art can be therapeutic. This includes an introduction by artists with disabilities, whether they happened to be autistic, had physical disabilities, or specific learning disabilities. Seeing these pieces can offer excitement and inspiration for the kids as they start to experiment with art. And in turn they will create an art piece and write a reflection about them. They will then be set up in the classroom as an art gallery and this is where the kids are able to stand by their art and express their thinking about what it is and work on social skills.

This PBL is a very engaging and enhancing experience for the kids. They are being very self reflective and have deep thinking about how art benefits them and what it means to them. This can also include collaboration with other students; enhancing their perspective. Since they are then asked to create their own art piece this is now a very engaging experience. They are learning and experimenting hands on and are able to reflect instantly on this experience.

Evidence 2: Problem Based Learning

This tool was created by wevideo which is an awesome and easy way for kids to create videos! The actual instruction itself was focused on our emotions. The video is supposed to be targeted for kids that may not always recognize social cues such as emotions; especially in an elementary setting. This touches on describing what emotions are, when we might feel them, and what they look like on other people.

This video can be helpful and resourceful for students who may struggle socially. This video can serve as a reference point if they find themselves in a situation where they didn't recognize somebody's emotion or if they have been feeling strong emotions but cant recognize what it is. This video also helps give ideas about how to react to people when they're experiencing these emotions. This video is engaging and can help them to think about what emotions they experience or specific situations they've experienced certain emotions. This video is also enhancing their knowledge regarding emotions.

Evidence 3: Kidspiration

This resource allows you to create quiz questions and have a live assessment in the class using scan codes and an app! This resource is very beneficial for students who are creating survey questions and can engage and interact with the entire class. This way the kids can collaborate very efficiently. This resource also can be used for students to help study or review for a test in a fun and engaging way! In this particular set of questions  I could evaluate the results and see that since the majority of the class got the questions correctly I will probably make time to meet with the select few students who had the incorrect answers and have a conversation with them about what they think. If it was a misunderstanding we can talk through it or I can assess if they need further instruction with meal times and social responses. This may be too easy for the students so it may be good to get a baseline for where they are at and then move on from there. I think it would be wise to move onto the next topic.

Evidence 2: Powtoons

Evidence 1: Creative Commons

My  teacher website, e portfolio, and SLP website have a Creative Commons License . This license gives me the ability to have the  rights over the material that I created and decide how people are allowed to use them. I can share my work with other people but still have my name attached. This shows the kids how to use digital citizenship correctly. This tool is used to protect my work as well as show students that we should respect other peoples work as well. This is  a good way to teach my students about digital citizenship and will help them to recognize when it's okay to use and respect other peoples work as well.

This tool is called Piktochart and it gives you the ability to make incredible info graphics. There are many templates, images, and symbols to choose from to create your info graphic for whatever your need. This particular one is focused on classroom management and digital management in the classroom. This tool is a great way to engage the kids aesthetically. It has a very simple layout that is straight to the point when it comes to the rules of the classroom. They will learn my expectations for our classroom with this info graphic. This service learning project allowed me to interact with a teacher and create something specifically for her needs and her classroom. This was done using a website to hold a collection of resources that would be beneficial to her and her kids! This SLP also included an instructional screen cast the taught about the different resources and showed her how to navigate the website as well. This was a very interactive and engaging project to be involved in the community and create and solve a problem for her classroom. This would be an amazing thing to have my future students learn and incorporate. Of course it wouldn't be this complicated but  the idea of having students do some sort of project that they gained knowledge from and had a community experience would be a great way to enhance their learning.
